Urine Malaria Test Wins Top Prize at Health Innovation Awards

Fyodor, an innovative method of testing for malaria through the urine​,​ on Wednesday won the top prize of $100,000 at the inaugural Health Innovation Challenge Awards held in Lagos.

​The innovator of Fyodor Urine Malaria Test, Eddy Agbo, said the testing method cuts out the unpleasant and expensive traditional method of testing for malaria through blood samples, eradicates self-medication as patients can truly determine the cause of their fever is malaria related.

Operation Peace of Mind (OPM) recently debuted a new member of its organization who will be an ambassador to the community.

On Monday, Ugo Bear was introduced to city council members during its regular meeting. Ugo Bear - The Community Builder is OPM’s official spokes bear to the community. He will visit schools, daycares, churches and community centers to speak to students on how to stay safe and make a difference in their community.

OPM Announces the Rollout of 'CrimeFreebies' Incentive Program


October 23, 2009 (FPRC) -- LEWISVILLE, TX


Today Operation Peace of Mind (OPM) announced the rollout of its new incentive program, CrimeFreebies. The CrimeFreebies program will allow youth who participate in the Teens, Crime and Community (Community Works) the opportunity to earn great incentives, while learning valuable leadership and crime prevention skills. Incentives will include gift cards for gas, movies, restaurants, retail stores and Free Groceries. Participants must attend a minimum of four classes a month and stay crime free to be eligible for incentives.

OPM YOUTH NETWORK BEGINS IN LEWISVILLE
Program gets kids involved in dealing with crime

A program which makes teenagers more aware of crime, how to deal with it and how to help others deal with it kicked off last month in Lewisville.

A total of 21 Lewisville private school students have joined the Operation Peace of Mind (OPM) Youth Network, a program which offers training on how to deal with crime and then sends those who complete the program into other areas to help other teenagers who may have been crime victims.
